Immersion program in Jardin

Spanish immersion in Jardin is possible in a 4-day total immersion program (From Tuesday to Friday). Your arrival will be on Monday. During your time in Jardin, you will have the opportunity to speak Spanish all day, during the classes, at mealtimes, during visits and meetings arranged with locals.

Stay in the countryside of a valley surrounded by organic food and flowers, learn everything about the coffee traditions which originated in Jardin. Study in a relaxed atmosphere that will help you with your learning process.

The classes will be held in a colorful and lively environment in the wonderful coffee town of Jardin, with a welcoming atmosphere and amazing nature.

Price for 4 days program in group: 1’800.000

Immersions require a minimum of 3 participants and you need to book 3 weeks in advance.

During your stay in Jardin, you’ll be able to join in a wide range of activities; including paragliding, canoeing, bird watching, and a visit to the coffee plantation zones. You’ll also get to experience the famous Colombian coffee and some delicious tropical fruits along the way. You will enjoy these moments of informality and being in a group, and you will be encouraged to speak Spanish.

The 4-Day Spanish Immersion Program

  • 10 hours of “Spanish for travelers” classes. (2 hours every day) + 2 more hour’s activity.
  • 2 hours of outdoor activities to discover Jardin’s natural scenery
  • 2 hours of a cultural and historical tour.
  • 1 Morning activity  (2 hours)
  • Visit the top of the mountain by “Garrucha” antique cable cart to enjoy the wonderful view of the town
  • Visit with explanation and transportation to the coffee plantation. 
  • Lunch during the coffee plantation visit.
  • Discounts at some local restaurants in Jardin
  • Drinks and snacks

In Colombia, we have holidays on Monday very often, see the calendar 2023 here to see if you are arriving at one of those days, in that case, it is better you think on your arrival on Sunday.

Transport

Note: Transport to Jardin is not included in the program.

Transport from Medellin is from Terminal del Sur and the price of the bus 100.000 COP round trip (prices on April 2023). You can see the schedule of the buses on this website.

Participants in the program will have the option of choosing between a variety of different types of accommodation proposed in Jardin. Ask for the list of hostels and hotels we students have a special discount.

More information

During the year, programs are offered with the option of 4 days of intensive Spanish immersion. If you would like to brush up on your grammar or see some vocabulary before going to Jardin, you can also sign up for a 10-hour intensive Spanish course in Medellin prior to the immersion course.
